Instructions:

Trace heart template onto doubled Homespun. Sew all the way around heart.

Slit through one layer of heart only for turning. Trim around heart to approximately

1/8” beyond stitching. Turn Heart RSO, stuff firmly. Whipstitch opening closed.

Trace an Annie head onto doubled muslin. Sew all the way around head.

Make a small slit in the back of head for turning, through one layer only.

Trim around head approximately 1/8” beyond stitching. Turn head RSO, and

stuff firmly. Whipstitch the opening closed.

With a disappearing marker, draw a face onto the Annie head. Or, if you prefer,

before sewing head, hold pattern template with muslin over it up to a

window and trace the face on with a disappearing marker. Paint the nose in

with barn red acrylic paint. Draw the eyes, eyebrows, eyelashes and mouth on

with a .02 Micron Pigma black pen.

The hair is 6 strand barn red embroidery floss (DMC # 221). Sew on to head

where indicated on pattern. See the Help section on this website for more help.

 Trim hair to desired length.

Blush cheeks with powder blush or a dry brush method and barn red acrylic paint.

For the dry brush method, wipe most of the paint off of the brush onto a piece

of paper and then lightly brush onto cheeks, making sure not to press too hard.

Attach head to heart, with a heavy button thread, making sure to cover the slits.

Pull tight and knot in the back of the heart. Attach a pin back to the back of the heart,

with hot glue.

Tea stain if desired. This Annie can be a package tie on or it can be a pin.

Add a string to the top for on Ornie.  Have fun with it.
