Fold piece of fabric in half.

Sew a 1/4" seam down the side.

Trim stitching to 1/8" beyond
stitching.

Now, that seam goes in the middle, pin in place,
make sure
each side is of equal size. Mark the spot
where you will need to
stop sewing, your pattern should tell you
how far from the
bottom to measure up.

Starting at the bottom, sew 1/4" away from the
center seam,
up to the place that you marked, and back down
the other
side 1/4" away from center seam.

Trim 1/8" away from the leg seams that you have
just sewn.
Turn pants RSO, and iron.

Sew a primitive running stitch 1/2" or so down
from top
of waist. This is a picture of the back of
the loons.
There will be no seam in the front, only the
back.
